Vintage & Rust Studio

A farmhouse paint studio where the design is already sketched for you. Bring a friend, pick up a brush, and leave with something that is uniquely your own.

The work

Finished pieces, leaned against the wall.

Every class starts from one of these — a pre-sketched farm animal, a floral truck, a seasonal porch sign. You bring it to life in your own colours.

The hands behind it

It started with a wedding, and a pile of handmade decor.

Brittany Johnson made every sign and every piece of decor for her own wedding in Monroe, Washington. She sold it all at the end of the night — and was flooded with requests to make more. The hobby had quietly become a calling.

She had set her creative dreams aside for years, working in banks and hospitals to raise six children. In January 2017 she took the leap, opened a little shop on Main Street in Monroe, and never looked back.

What began as a vintage boutique grew into a dedicated paint studio. Brittany found she loved watching each student take the same sketch and make it their own. The studio now paints, teaches and ships from Snohomish, Washington.
